Join us for an introductory workshop designed to give spiritual directors a foundational understanding of trauma and its impact on those they serve. We’ll cover key definitions of trauma, explore its emotional, spiritual, and physical effects, and discuss basic principles of trauma-informed care—focusing on safety, attunement, and connection. Participants will learn how to recognize when a directee may need additional support or referral and discover simple ways to foster a compassionate, embodied approach to spiritual direction. This training will provide an accessible overview and practical starting point for integrating trauma sensitivity into your spiritual direction practice.
