Celtic Spirituality has several distinctives that ground it nicely for spiritual directors. It is Biblical, Trinitarian, Creation friendly, Inclusive, Embodied, and filled with Blessings. Together we will look at these six themes for our own enjoyment as well as their use in the spiritual direction space. This workshop is led by Ellen Kogstad.
Ellen Kogstad has been a spiritual director for over 25 years. In addition to 1:1 direction, she offers the Ignatian Exercises as a small group experience and continues to advocate for directors to “remember the poor” by bringing direction to underserved communities. Ellen brings spiritual direction and formation to young moms and staff at New Moms in Chicago. Areas of study and interest in spiritual direction include: Discernment, Enneagram, Abuse and Trauma, Rebuilding one’s Faith, Celtic Christianity, Aging and Multicultural Direction. Ellen believes you can never have too many books or earrings.
